Together, we can make the world a better place.

Some people believe that the best way to make a difference is to organize a group and work together.

In Southern California, two young men and their friends wanted to do something to reduce new pollution and eliminate old pollution.  So they organized "Might E. Microbe Action Team" chapters at their schools:

The chapter members meet from time-to-time to discuss environmental problems and what can be done about them.  They've talked about the need for more recycling on their high school campuses, and the need to pick-up litter (trash) at local beaches and wetlands.  They've wondered why environmental clean-up projects take so long and cost so much.  They've started writing letters to their local newspapers and government officials to express their concerns and to ask for stronger leadership in solving environmental problems.  They may not yet be seeing results from their efforts, but it's a start.

Send an email to Might E. Microbe if you want to organize your own local chapter in support of the Might E. Microbe Action Team.  In the email, explain what your new chapter wants to accomplish, who are the founding members (names and email addresses), and what is the name and location of your school.  Might E. Microbe and his helpers will send you a new Chapter Certificate (suitable for framing).  We'll also send each chapter member a FREE copy of the Might E. Microbe Action Team newsletter.

When you start your own local chapter, we ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner that brings honor to the good name of the Might E. Microbe Action Team: be polite and pleasant, think clearly and creatively, get your facts straight, act responsibly, and help spread the good news about using microbes to clean-up pollution.

The official Chapter Pledge: "The Might E. Microbe Action Team and their local chapters are committed to helping the environment and reducing pollution in ways that are faster, better, cheaper, and safer."
